Witness Atlas Updates
Project Scope
This page records why the Witness Atlas exists and how it turns the theory into reusable, auditable evidence.
Because Syncré is a field-level claim, evidence has to be field-level too: each atlas entry is an instantiation with an artifact path, not a story.
Use it to understand significance and to follow the links into the validator-backed artifacts.
What this page is
This page explains the purpose of the Witness Atlas, what it adds to the research program, and how to use it as evidence rather than illustration.
Why the Witness Atlas matters
A theory becomes reusable when it ships more than definitions and theorems.
The Witness Atlas is the evidence layer:
- a finite catalog of worked instances
- each entry linked to a shipped artifact object
- each entry labeled by regime class and failure mode
This turns “the method works” into “here are concrete objects that pass the validators,” which is exactly what reduces referee friction.
What is new in Release v1
| Upgrade | What it adds | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Atlas index contract | A stable index linking entries to artifacts and labels | Makes the atlas queryable and auditable |
| Validator alignment | Audit scripts that check atlas consistency | Prevents drift between text and artifacts |
| Example breadth | 30 entries spanning the declared regimes | Shows the method is not tuned to one toy case |
